ASMAR Records is an independent Portuguese electronic music label where ancestral memory, organic rhythm and contemporary sound meet.
Born from the creative universe of Glender — DJ, producer and visual storyteller — ASMAR exists at the intersection of tradition and technology. Our sound is rooted in the landscapes of Portugal: the golden plains of Alentejo, the granite villages of Trás-os-Montes, the memory of the land and its people.

Our Sound
ASMAR does not represent a single genre — it represents a sensibility. Our territory includes Afro House, Organic House, Tribal and Deep House, cinematic electronics, organic percussion, and voices with emotion and identity.
We seek music with soul, context and permanence — not tracks produced to follow passing trends. The connection to Glender’s work brings a special relationship with Portuguese culture and territory: Alentejo, Trás-os-Montes, rural memory, the working of the land, and the passage between tradition and modernity.
Positioning
ASMAR Records positions itself as a boutique record label — selective, elegant, authorial and carefully curated. Each release belongs to the same universe, even when the artists or influences differ. We are not a generic distributor, not a promotional extension of any single artist, and not a brand driven by commercial metrics alone.

The Name & Symbol
The ASMAR tree — with deep roots and birds in flight — represents growth, continuity, and the connection between earth and sky. The roots that also resemble waves or movement speak to rhythm and sound. The birds introduce freedom, travel, and the circulation of music across the world.
Our visual language uses black, bronze, aged gold, amber, and ivory — warm, organic, timeless. It is not artificial luxury, but the gold of fire, earth, wood and sun. The aesthetic sits at the crossroads of independent record label, cultural publication, auteur cinema, and organic spirituality.
Our Foundation
ASMAR Records operates as an artist-led label, founded and guided by Glender. Initially the home of his releases, we are built to welcome future artists who share this vision. As the catalogue and community grow, ASMAR will expand into its own fully independent identity.
The first release, “Canto da Planície” (ASMAR-001), established the blueprint: music with roots, identity and lasting meaning. The artwork already bears the ASMAR tree seal — a visual declaration that this is the kind of work that belongs to the ASMAR universe.
The label was born from a single conviction: music can move forward without abandoning its roots.
