ASMAR Records is a boutique electronic music label where cultural roots, organic matter and contemporary production become music made to last.

The label lives between rhythm, memory, organic texture and cultural roots. Contemporary electronic music, shaped by emotion and depth, carrying something older. Rooted somewhere. Made for everywhere.

What ASMAR is

A curatorial house with its own voice, direction and critical standards. Every release exists because it could not belong anywhere else. Sound, artwork, narrative, video, photography and communication are treated as one single world — one complete piece of art.

Our Sound

ASMAR works with contemporary electronic music: Afro House, Organic House and emotional, organic electronic forms. But the label is not governed by genre categories. What defines ASMAR is identity, emotion, depth, production, texture, originality and artistic longevity. The genres are starting points, never borders.

Rooted somewhere

Portugal is a root of ASMAR, not a boundary. Land, stone, wood, water, fire, wind, voices, memory and tradition belong to the language of the label — always reinterpreted in a contemporary, international cinematic register. Never folklore, never decoration, never nostalgia as an end in itself.

To give space to electronic music that carries a story — preserving the identity of each artist while presenting them in a contemporary, global context.

A&R principle

“Could this exist on any label — or is there a reason for it to belong to ASMAR?”

This question is at the centre of everything ASMAR signs: demos, artworks, videos, photography, stories and social content. It is the editorial standard the label is built on.

Facing forward

ASMAR is expanding its editorial universe to other artists — never to reproduce someone, but to follow the same artistic demand. The label owns its voice, its direction, its criteria and its visual identity.
